The U.S. Capitol Visitor's Center
Construction Noise Abatement Project
Washington DC

This project consisted of four phases with the goal of minimizing disruption from noise during construction of the Visitor’s Center. MBP:

- assessed potential noise issues and issued recommendations.
- designed a temporary window system for use during construction.
- produced spectrally accurate digital recording of construction sounds for on-site testing of typical window system.
- designed and calibrated audio system that continuously output in excess of 90 dBA at the window system.

The window system met design goals.
